Hi, I’m Brooke — a proud mom to a spirited three-year-old and a lifelong animal lover. Between marriage, motherhood, and muddy paw prints, I’ve found my passion in helping people and their dogs build calm, joyful, and trusting relationships. My unique background in the animal field has taught me that connection, not control, is the key to harmony.

My Story

I’ve worn many hats in the animal world — from zookeeper and veterinary technician to professional dog trainer. A graduate of Millersville University and Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo, I’ve always had a passion for all creatures, great and small. My career began with hands-on experience training a wide range of exotic species while earning my degree in Zoo Animal Technology.

I went on to work as an animal ambassador, trainer, and performer at Busch Gardens Tampa, where I discovered my love for connecting people and animals through education and trust. Later, as a zookeeper at Brevard Zoo, I had the incredible opportunity to train big cats, primates, birds of prey, reptiles, and small mammals. I focused on behaviors like voluntary injections, ultrasounds, x-rays, and body presentations — all achieved through positive reinforcement.

After moving to Charlotte, I transitioned from zoo life to home life and became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (PCT-A). My background working with so many species has given me a deep understanding of behavior, learning, and communication — and a true appreciation for the power of positive training.

"My journey through the animal care world has given me a deep appreciation for the bond between dogs and their people. Now, I pour that experience into helping families create balanced, happy relationships with their pets built on understanding and trust." - Brooke
